Bookcase Operation is a 501(c)3 tax exempt non-profit and the brainchild of Derrick Nguyen. The program's goal is to promote skills in  youth and create positive change in the community from these skills.

The organization provide services such as:

• Helps create opportunities for youth to acquire new skills in problem-solving, planning, estimating, and education that can be applied to the real world.

• Instruct youth on leadership development, personal empowerment skills, and community service; coupled with applied skills training focused on job preparation and self- employment through entrepreneurship.

• Organize workshops, projects, presentations, and other activities primarily directed at youth to instruct them on videography, technology, marketing, acting, business, art, audio engineering, STEM, and other subjects. 

Volunteering

Bookcase Operation is looking for volunteers to be in leadership positions in the organization. The organization is looking to trained youth volunteers to be leaders in the community. Volunteers will help organized the youth classes. Volunteers will soon be able to get service learning hours from Guilford County Schools. Bookcase Operation will assist volunteers to get scholarships. Also Bookcase Operation will featured them on TV when the non-profit do TV interviews. Bookcase Operation is a Volunteer Center member and our volunteer page is here.
